Contraceptive implant now licensed for up to 5 years in the UK

The Nexplanon® implant is now licensed for 5 years in the UK, following strong evidence showing it remains safe and effective, with no pregnancies reported in years 4–5 of use.

This is great news for our women who are currently using the implant for contraception as it can be kept for 5 years before it needs changing.
